Spark Tally Friday!

Congratulations to Shari Klase! Her story Princess in Peril is in the anthology Twice Upon a Time! It looks like it’s made it to #6 in Folklore on Amazon! Shari is giving away a copy on her blog so go to sklase.wordpress.com and comment on your favorite fairy tale!

This week has been up and down for me as far as writing. I’ve been doing editing. Rapunzel: Stay at Home Mom is ready for formatting. That’s always a great feeling.

My publicist has found some great articles and pics for my Pinterest Board about Rapunzel. Please check it out!

Unfortunately, I’m late for my next round of edits for my upcoming novel under my pen name. I have to get those done this weekend, but weekend writing time doesn’t always work out.

How did everyone else do?

  1. Thank you so much for the plug, Melinda. I wrote about 700 words this week. I was shooting for at least a thousand but got sidetracked by things. Next week I’m going to make some decisions on some writing goals. Have a great week.

  2. Congrats to Shari. And thanks for the link, I will have to go check out her blog.

Did mainly editing this week that did not add much to my word count, but restructured two chapters, so I am happy with that. In the library now, so next week should be good.

  3. Congrats to Shari on her fairy tale story!

I’m down to copy editing this week on my novel. I printed out a hard copy and I’m going over it line-by-line. Since it’s since 12 font and double spaced, it’s over 400 pages. I’ve been lugging it around with me and everyone asks “what’s that?” When I tell them it’s my book, their eyes go wide with horror. Haha. It looks a lot longer than it actually is. I’m about halfway through. This week, I hope to finish reading through and start transferring the changes over into Word. No real word count for me.
